Ehsan Bani Taba is an independent, interdisciplinary artist residing in Tehran, Iran, who works as a composer, sound artist, and music producer who has been working in the field of architecture and research in various areas of cognitive sciences, psychology, and philosophy in addition to producing musical projects in relatively long intervals, and he performs all the stages of music production, ranging from recording to mix and mastering, in his music studio named “Shenida.”
All of his musical compositions have a psychological and conceptual theme because of his innate interest in cognitive, psychological, philosophical, and semantic concepts, in fact, a musical translation of his semantic experience of life interacting with the outer world.
Banitaba has a history of his works performing at electronic and electroacoustic music festivals in Tehran, Hannover, New York, and further afield, and some collaborative works like Improvisation of NYU New Music Ensemble with his work.
He is a bachelor of civil engineering as the founder of Deeda Architecture and Design Studio, and he is professionally involved in designing specific architectural and interior ideas and concepts. In some of his projects, he combines his expertise in Architecture, Civil engineering, Physics, and Music to design exceptional projects like “Navaye Kavir” restaurants. For example, in this project, four wind towers have been designed to make enjoyable perfect musical sensations for audiences by harmonic songs and musical accords in Persian art music scales (such as Mahoor and Chahargah) due to desert winds blowing.
He has been working sparingly and selectively in the realm of music production up to this moment. According to his own words, he has waited years to find the right time to fully concentrate on his main objective - which is essentially the translation of the meanings that have been perceived in his mind in his interaction with the alive world through music - and 2022 is the year for him that he wants to focus and work continually to compose and produce music, discovering and creating his musical ideas and holding concerts.
